JOHN CARTER WARLORD OF MARS

John Carter, Warlord of Mars was a 1977-1979 Marvel series loosely based upon the Barsoom series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This 28 issue series takes place during chapter 27 of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel A Princess of Mars. The series was well received and won the 1978 "Favourite New Title Eagle Award" (a British comics award based on the voting of fans). The series also had an John Carter Warlord of Mars Annual series that accompanied the monthly series. Collected in John Carter Warlord of Mars Omnibus.
