Every order gets a 30-day dispute window.
🛡 If your item doesn't arrive, doesn't match the listing, or shows up damaged, you can file a claim within 30 days of confirmed delivery. We mediate and decide within 5 business days.
How refunds are funded: When a claim is upheld, the refund is drawn from the seller's Stripe Connect balance — the same balance that holds their pending payouts. FindMeComics does not hold funds separately and does not operate a platform-funded guarantee.
In the rare case that a seller's Stripe account cannot cover the full refund, complete reimbursement may not be possible. We'll pursue every available Stripe clawback channel and keep you informed throughout.
WHAT'S COVERED
Item never arrived
The seller didn't ship within a reasonable timeframe, or tracking shows non-delivery.
Significantly not as described
Wrong issue, wrong edition, or damage not disclosed in the listing.
Counterfeit item
The item is not authentic.
WHAT'S NOT COVERED
Buyer's remorse — you changed your mind after purchase.
Minor grade disagreements — the item is in the described condition range but you expected higher.
Items damaged after delivery.
Transactions completed outside of FindMeComics (e.g., deals arranged off-platform).
Disputes filed more than 30 days after confirmed delivery.
WHAT'S PLANNED
As the platform grows, the goal is to add a reserve fund — money set aside to cover the rare cases where seller recovery isn't possible. Nothing is in place yet. This page will be updated when that changes, and all active accounts will be notified.
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER LAW
Nothing on this page limits rights you may have under federal or state law, including the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA, 15 U.S.C. § 1666), your card issuer's chargeback rules, or applicable consumer-protection statutes.
PAYMENT SECURITY
All card payments are processed by Stripe, which holds PCI DSS Level 1 certification — the highest available. FindMeComics never receives, stores, or touches raw card numbers. Card data flows directly between your browser and Stripe's secure servers, isolated from our systems entirely (SAQ A card-data isolation).
HOW TO OPEN A DISPUTE
Contact the seller first
Most issues are resolved directly. Message the seller through your order page and give them 48 hours to respond.
Open a dispute
If unresolved, go to your order and click "Open Dispute." You have 30 days from confirmed delivery.
Provide evidence
Photos, tracking information, and a clear description of the issue help us resolve disputes faster.
We review
Our team reviews both sides and makes a final decision — see our SLA below. An AI system may assist the reviewer by summarising the case; the final call is always made by a human.
Resolution
If your dispute is upheld, you receive a full refund including original shipping. The seller bears the cost.

We don't publish numbers until we're confident they're statistically representative — not to hide anything, but because a single outlier shouldn't define the average.
