The evil Surbus of Helium has thwarted Kantos Kan's efforts to rescue Dejah Thoris from captivity. But Kantos Kan will not take defeat from anyone. As the fight ensues, he and Dejah Thoris escape to join another conflict in the palace of Helium. Soon John Carter joins the group and a battle royale in under way!
