Veronica reluctantly agrees to let Betty bring her five year old cousin along on their beach trip, but fears that Bernadette's presence will interfere with her ability to meet new boys. While on a fishing trip on the Lodge yacht, Veronica hooks a huge striped bass. After using the new riding mower to do the family lawn, Betty graciously volunteers to cut the lawns of several elderly neighbors. One of the ten year old boys at the pool where Betty Life Guards has a crush on her.
