As Gambit and Rogue arrive in the mansion, Bishop suddenly remembers that Gambit is the assassin that he must stop and tries to shoot Gambit. He tells more about the future that will follow after the assassination. The X-Men deduce that Senator Robert Kelly is the highly probable target, and fly off to Washington to try and prevent the assassination, leaving Wolverine to guard Gambit and Bishop in Xavier's mansion. Gambit is very displeased by this lack of trust, but Jubilee manages to calm him down, and he agrees that he should behave more like an adult.
