X-Men 2099 follows the exploits of a group of mutants living in the 21st century. The team is named X-Men, after their inspiration, Charles Xavier, whom lived 100 years ago. The series lasted until issue 35, after which it (and many other 2099 titles) where put together in the "2099: World of Tomorrow" series.
