X-FORCE

X-Force continues from The New Mutants (1983) as the team of young mutants come under the leadership of mercenary Cable and became a strike force taking out threats all over the world. The young mutants have become soldiers in the war for peace and take a more aggressive stance than before. With issue #102, the Counter X crossover started, which lasted until issue #115. With issue #116, a new team of celebrity TV star mutants would take over the book. This team, created by Peter Milligan and Michael Allred, would be relaunched as X-Statix. Later on, the original X-Force team would reclaim their name.
