In real history, the Soviet Union was the only major country to have its young females fighting as pilots, soldiers, and tank crews. The most famous of all was their 588th Night Bomber Regiment, who flew obsolete biplanes deep into enemy territories, conducting night reconnaissance and combat missions. The Germans called them the "Night Witches." In this issue, Katerina Soyuz returns as a pilot of the 588th on a dangerous mission to rescue Joseph Stalin's son behind enemy lines, not knowing that her mission is already doomed from the start. — Description from Comic Vine community (comicvine.gamespot.com).
