Twenty-two issue series continued from the X-Men: Gold, X-Men: Red and the 3rd volume of Astonishing X-Men. After the Extermination mini-series, a new era starts here! The War of the Realms: Uncanny X-Men mini-series has the Legacy numbering and is placed in between issues 15 and 16 of this series. The series lasted until issue 22, after which the House of X and Powers of X mini-series started, changing the course of the X-Men. The regular Legacy numbering is continued after these mini-series in the 6th volume of X-Men. It no longer has the "Uncanny" banner, but the Indica in issue 1 of that new series states it is a continuation of the Uncanny X-Men series.
