The second ongoing Ultimate X-Men series, continues after the events in Ultimate X. The biggest mutant cover-up has gone public as the true history of the x-gene is revealed! As an identity crisis rocks the mutant world, the mistrust between man and x-man gets deeper. The X-Men declare war on the government after they activelly start hunting and capturing mutants. The series ended with issue 33 and was continued in the Hunger mini-series and the Cataclysm: Ultimate X-Men mini-series after which the story of the Ultimate X-Men was somewhat continued in issues 32-36 of the 616 Universe All-New X-Men series.
