A trip to the Massachusetts Academy turns disastrous for Kitty Pryde and Doug Ramsey. Xavier enjoys his newfound ability to walk and spends his time working out, but his peace is soon disrupted by the mysterious probing force that has been haunting him. Storm joins him, sharing her own unease about the changes she’s undergone. Later, she visits the city botanical gardens and stops a robbery in progress, only to be hurt when the victims react with more fear toward her than toward the criminals. Meanwhile, Kitty Pryde spends time with her friend Doug Ramsey, confiding her worries about Storm’s transformation. Doug invites her to visit the Massachusetts Academy with him. Kitty worries about joining him because The Hellfire Club runs the Academy. Back at Xavier’s, Colossus feels troubled by Kitty’s growing closeness to Doug, which highlights the differences between him and Kitty. That evening, Kitty informs Xavier and the X-Men that she plans to accompany Doug. Since Emma Frost remains in a coma and Xavier can monitor her telepathically, they agree that Kitty should be safe. Before she leaves, Storm takes Kitty on a flight high above the mansion for a long-overdue heart-to-heart. Storm explains that, while they are friends, it was wrong for either of them to assume she could replace Kitty’s mother. Now that she has regained her emotions, Storm asks Kitty to accept her as she is. The two reconcile. Later, the X-Men see Kitty off at the airport, where she and Doug board the Academy’s private jet, only to be greeted by a fully recovered Emma Frost. Kitty’s telepathic scream for help goes unheard, as Professor X has determined the probing force is coming from Central Park and takes the team to investigate. They find a massive structure has appeared. When they enter it, they vanish from Earth. — Description from Comic Vine community (comicvine.gamespot.com).
