While on their honeymoon, Jean and Scott Summers are thrust 2000 years into the future by Rachel Summers a.k.a. Mother Askani. There they live and get a chance to raise Nathan Summer, Scott's time-displaced son. Our heroes also have to tackle the reign of Apocalypse and his protege Stryfe.
Cable's adventures in the future continue one year later in the Askani'Son mini-series, written and drawn by the same creative team of this mini-series. Cyclops and Phoenix's adventures continue in the Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix.
