Lori Lemaris-Clark Kent's college love whom he thought was dead, and who just so happens to be a mermaid-is back. And, Superman and Lois Lane's relationship falls on turbulent times.
After the breakup with Lois, Kent begins to question her motives and becomes angry with having to oblige to his duties as a hero which conflict with his time spent with Lois. Superman and Lori Lemaris work together to retrieve Jeb's dead body that fell in the sea, using Lori's knowledge of the sea and Superman's vision they stumble upon the body already picked at by sharks. Kent reveals his situation with Lois to Lori and expresses his frustration at not being able to have a normal life. Kent then becomes determined to get Lois back.
