METAL MEN #47

The Metal Men are mistakenly attacked by U.S. soldiers at a McMurdo Sound base in Antarctica, who have been under siege by various robot assailants for days. After freezing the Metal Men by destroying their temperature-regulating armbands, the soldiers receive word from General Caspar that the team is actually on their side. The Metal Men explain they came to Antarctica tracking the vault of ransom money that Chemo had launched into orbit from Venice, using calculations to determine where it would fall back to Earth, but were shot down upon arrival and separated from Magnus during the chaos.
