The Sizzler has joined the Metal Men but refuses to reverse Doc Magnus's transformation into a robot. When the Sizzler's creator, Professor Snakelocks, attacks the team and is also transformed into a robot, a new villain called the Lizard is sent to complete Snakelocks' mission. The Lizard kidnaps Platinum and demands ransom, forcing each Metal Man to deliver money to different locations in an elaborate trap designed to destroy them one by one.
