Faced with peril after peril Doctor Strange almost meets his doom traversing the booby-trapped caverns on his way to face Sligguth. With his powers ebbing the battle proves disastrous and Strange is nearly defeated. When he calls upon the Vishanti they lift the power-blocking haze that envelops the town allowing Strange to drive off Sligguth. However, Sligguth's priestess, Ebora, manages to seal Strange in a crevasse and as the water rushes in she promises he won't survive the night.
