Battling two Karanthorian body guards, John Carter and Dejah Thoris escape starting another epic battle. Gar Karus (who has befriended John Carter) joins the battle and helps the Barsoomian couple. Un fortunately Dejah Thoris is recaptured by Chan Tomar and is faced to die at the hands of a wild beast.
