It is the night of the second wedding anniversary of John Carter and Dejah Thoris. During their celebration, John Carter is served poison wine and falls to the ground unconscious. Kantos Kan finds the servant Daria who poisoned John Carter and battles her. Later Dejah Thoris engages the servant girl in a sword battle as precious time passes. Will John Carter survive the effects of the deadly poison?
