This series started after the events of the Onslaught Saga, which ended Iron Man Vol.1. The series was was part of the Heroes Reborn year long event at Marvel. The events takes place in the pocket universe created by Franklin Richards. It leads into Heroes Return, which subsequent starts Iron Man Vol. 3
In this series, Tony Stark is a rich and brilliant industrialist. But when Hulk attacks his helicopter, Tony is severely wounded, and puts on his experimental armor to save himself. Consequently, he emerges as the Iron Man and later teams up with the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.
