The series was started after the success of Ghost Rider limited series. It stars Johnny Blaze as the Ghost Rider as he takes on supernatural threats in a war between Heaven and Hell. The series lasted for 35 issues , with 2 Ghost Rider Annuals, and was then continued in the Ghost Riders: Heaven's On Fire mini-series. Daniel Way wrote issues #1-19 before Jason Aaron finished out the series with issues #20-35.
