Proper Japanese Title: キャプテン翼 (Kyaputen Tsubasa) Second Edition, condenses the original 37 volume series to 21 tankōbon. There are two editions of the first Captain Tsubasa series, the first is the Jump Comics edition (37) that started in 1982 and the second is the Bunko edition (21) that started in 1997.
