This creator-owned Image series, written by Joe Casey and illustrated by Mike Huddleston, features Butcher Baker, The Righteous Maker; a retired "all American" Superhero who bears striking resemblance to The Comedian from Watchmen. Baker, languishing in a seemingly endless orgy, longs to return to the glory days of extreme violence and action.
The character, thematically, has a lot of the same elements that were present in another Joe Casey creation from an earlier creator owned book: The Constitution of the United States, a supporting character from his Wildstorm series Automatic Kafka.
