Deluxe editions of the original Black Jack collections that completely rearranged the chapters out of publication order in an order chosen by Tezuka himself, their publication greatly slowed after his death in 1989 and ultimately one more volume's worth of chapters were never collected.
The original gōkaban editions of these volumes featured a full colored cover while the bunkōban reprints cropped out the entire bottom halves of the covers to replace them with a white space where the title was printed. It is these collections that were mostly mimicked in Vertical's English translation of the series.
