Maxi-series created by Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston, following a team of heroes who vanished in the middle of a cataclysmic battle and found themselves trapped in a small town they were incapable of leaving.
This volume ran for 13 issues and a Giant-Sized Special before going on hiatus and relaunching as Black Hammer: Age of Doom. During the hiatus two spinoffs were published: Sherlock Frankenstein and the Legion of Evil and Doctor Star and the Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows. A short story featuring a segment set during the early issues of the series was also published in Dark Horses' 2018 Free Comic Book Day special.
