In order to combat fighting among the students, the student council institutes a one dollar fine for fighting. The cheerleading squad delivers a cheer with a subliminal message to Miss Grundy. While shopping at a mall in a neighboring city, Betty and Veronica encounter two guys with life histories very similar to their own. When Archie and Betty are quarantined together at school because of the colds they're sporting, Veronica decides to make herself sick as well so she can horn in.
