Veronica sends Betty on a wild goose chase for the simple pleasure of doing it. Pop witnesses an angry confrontation between Veronica and Betty over who Archie is supposed to be with that day. Veronica is attracted to a new boy, but is reluctant to date him because he's shorter than she is. Veronica and Betty decide to cut their hair short, then object when Archie and Reggie start wearing their hair long.
