Veronica finds out Betty is writing a contest essay for a newspaper, and the essay is inspired by her. Veronica confesses to the readers that she envies Betty. Betty agrees to accompany her father as he attempts to get some needed exercise, but she's the one who ends up getting the workout. Veronica decides to ditch mall shopping for the cable shopping networks, but soon finds it not up to her expectations.
