Archie chooses Veronica over Betty in his usual clumsy manner, and it gets Betty to consider dumping Archie for good. Betty agrees to spend the afternoon with Veronica, and the two then discover none of the things they want to do are compatible with the other one. Archie assigns Betty to research and write an article on cheap, creative alternatives to peanut butter. Snowed in, Alice asks Polly to find a way to relieve the boredom of a fidgety Betty.
