In this sequel to The Chaos Gate, the Adventurers continue their desperate quest to obtain the five Keys of Telku - the only items powerful enough to save the North from the destructive armies of Accuris and Baal. They have the first key and the second is easily obtained. But the third key is in the possession of Anubis, Guardian of the Dead. Before they can even challenge this powerful foe, they must overcome the horrifying Trials of the dead - a test which none have ever conquered. Even if they somehow survive, the Adventurers must still face betrayal from within their own ranks.
