After Jean-Paul Valley defeats Bane, and with the approval of Robin, he becomes the new Batman in Gotham. He then begins to patrol the city and fight criminals. As time goes by, however, "The System" (the programming that was implanted in his mind as a child) begins to affect his thoughts, making him unstable and violent.
