Cable attacks the Leader and Cameron Hodge on Genosha, ready to bring them to justice. Their standstill is broken when Storm destroys the dam, seemingly ruining Master Mold and his Sentinels in process. Storm, Jubilee and Gambit are then reunited with the other X-Men, while the Blob, Mystique and Pyro decide that they have "nothing to do here". On return to Salem Center the X-Men discover that Xavier's mansion has been destroyed, and Professor X himself is nowhere to be found. They find a message from Xavier, stating that he had to leave immediately. While looking for the attacker Jubilee and Wolverine encounter Colossus, who's soon arrested under false accusation. Rogue, charmed by Colossus's muscles and personality, suggests they help him get his freedom back.
