With the X-Men reunited since the fall-out from Brimstone Love and his infernal Theatre of Pain , the siege of the United States by Doom 2099 has seen many mutant refugees seek asylum from persecution plus other lost people from series of cataclysms unfold from Los Angeles. Morphine Somers has his hands full to maintain his mutant relations role with amnesties to Dr. Doom with the aid of the X-Men, but a new insurrection from Graverobber and The Undead have Skullfire under wraps and Serpentina returns.
