Happy Hobby Time: (public service message by Superboy)'Scoop' Smith, Boy Reporter: (Superman) Superman suspects Ned Gerritty, a reporter from the Daily Tatler of using underhanded tactics that endanger people to create stories and get scoops. At the same time, a boy genius named Euclid Smith has decided he wants to be a reporter for the Daily Planet but is brushed off by Perry, who tells him to come back when he is older. After Euclid scoops Ned on a rocket story Perry changes his mind and Euclid becomes the Planet's star reporter. then one day he resigned to take an offer from the Tatler that if he could scoop Superman on 3 stories he would get a lifetime contract as managing editor with full control of the paper. he seems to outsmart Superman 3 times and gets the job but then nearly sinks the paper with headlines about Boy Scout hikes and marble contests. Frustrated, the owner tries to shoot Euclid, but Superman saves him.
