Pulp Heroes, the DCU Annuals event, continues with macabre Amazonian adventures. In the lead story, Wonder Woman recalls the macabre tale of her visit to the "Necropolis," the City of the Dead where she once journeyed as a teenager to restore a sister Amazon to the realm of the living. But how can even an Amazon imbued with the power of the gods survive this otherworldly city which is the source of all the world's horrors? Written by John Byrne, with art by Byrne and Tom Palmer. In the back-up story starring Artemis, an emissary from Hell arrives on Earth to bring the warrior back to the underworld. Why? She is to take over the sector of Hell left without a ruler when she killed her demon-lord "husband."
