Jean is hysterical after her use of the Phoenix Force and its consequences. She's taken to Professor Xavier to help with her emotional state.
Meanwhile, the rest of the X-Men pursue the rogue, former Weapon X military cell that had been chasing Wolverine, against the direct instructions of Nick Fury. They catch up with the military cell before S.H.I.E.L.D. Commander Dugan and his Special Ops team move on their position. But they're unable to detain of gain any information. Dugan lets them know the possible ramifications that their rash actions may lead to in the future if they disobey S.H.I.E.L.D. instructions.
