Average Joe Jacob Burnley has been given the greatest power in the universe to do with as he sees fit. First task at hand...fix the greatest disaster to ever be visited upon US soil (in the New Universe that is). It's a return to the Pitt! Includes the 6-page back-up tale starring Nightmask. The master of the Dreamscape must confront and defeat his inner demons or forever be consumed by evil. Some government agents continue to explore the Pitt area. They come up to the border of the bubble, and one gets out to go inside. His support truck loses contact with him. Nelson Kohler, the Witness, observes the chaos around Pittsburgh as a ghost. He feels the ghosts of the dead from that event crying out. But when he arrives down at the site, he is shocked to see a suburban paradise! Jacob Burnley has been using the power of the Brand to fix the Pitt, one area at a time, to the wonder of his grandson, Billy. Billy convinces him to try to fix the worst part, the pit itself. The Witness recalls when he saw Ken destroy the area by attempting to put his power into the dumbbell. After the explosion, he went down to the city, and everything was normal; the memories of the city kept them alive for a time. Then they disappeared. Burnley tries to use the Brand to recreate Pittsburgh. The Witness feels all the ghosts of the residents leave him. The city appears to be reborn, but it is just made of memories. One of government officials finds Burnley and he explains what he is doing. However, the Witness shows up and explains that it didn't fully work, it is just dreams in a cloud that will eventually float away. Ken wakes up in the church where he collapsed, once again in the "baggy alien" form. In the back-up story, Nightmask tries to help his sister (who is in a coma) through her dreams, but they are nightmares.
