Cyclops and Pheonix end up centuries in the past where they meet Nathaniel Essex (Mr. Sinister). Essex is suprisingly not an evil man, all he wants to do is cure his wife of a disease. Then Apocalypse shows up and we start to see changes in Essex's personality.
