Superman is rebuilding the fortress of solitude in a small village in Perú, he went there and didn't tell Lois were he was going. He has been gone for three weeks and still no notice from were he is. Lois recieved some pictures that might dictate were he is, so she and Jimmy Olsen went there to find him.
Superman's presence atracted some people there, so they captured Lois and Jimmy in order to get his attention, after he saved them, he took them to the village and introduced them to the new fortress. The very next day the same people attacked the village, when Superman tried to save them he was attacked by an strange being capable of holding a fight with him. He couldn't saved them and the people lost faith in him, he felt bad afterwards.
