Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl, along with Padawans Xanatos and Orykan, were sent by the Jedi Council to Telos IV to quell the threat of civil war - a mission complicated by the fact that Lord Crion, the planet's leader, is Xanatos's father. Qui-Gon sensed that a Jedi might be involved in the intrigue, and Tahl was attacked by insurgents - one of whom was an Antarian Ranger, supposedly one of the Jedi's closest allies. All the while, Xanatos struggled - torn between his loyalty to the Jedi Order and his desire for acceptance from Crion. The situation comes to a head when insurgents attack the palace...
