Star Trek: The Manga is based on Star Trek: The Original Series and prominently focuses on the relationship between Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, Dr.McCoy, Lieutenant Uhura and Lieutenant Scott.
The three volumes contain all-new stories and were originally English-language manga published by Tokyopop in 2006.
The best stories from this series (as voted for by fans on the Tokyopop website) were later collected in Star Trek: The Manga Ultimate Edition in 2009.
