In this arc, Spawn explores all nine levels of Hell where he is confronted by new challenges at each level. Having his heart ripped from his chest and an epic battle with Malebolgia are just two of the adventures. On Earth, Terry Fitzgerald hasn't yet made the connection between his remarkable recovery from cancer and the Hellspawn. But in a dream, it's revealed to Terry thatSpawn is, in fact, Al Simmons; Terry searches the alleys for proof that Spawn is actually his former friend. Other players on this story arc include Savage Dragon, and Sam and Twitch and their new 'Crimemobile.
