The Metal Men take a sailing trip to relax, but Platinum's responsometer has been accidentally altered, causing her affections to shift away from Doc Magnus. During their voyage, the team encounters dangerous sentient floating mines in the ocean. When the Metal Men try to escape, the jealous mines pursue them relentlessly, and one appeals to Neptune for help, gaining control over all sea creatures and the ocean itself to hunt down the team.
