Looking for what they thought of as a French hero just after World War II a publisher thought DC comic’s Hourman fit the bill, calling him Tic Tac Tyler L’homme d’une heure (the man of one hour) they published two comics containing the adventures of L’homme d’une heure in black & white and translated into France.
It is suspected by many French comics fans that the costume of Fantax, the first French superhero, may have been inspired by Hourman’s.
