JUSTICE LEAGUE TASK FORCE #14

Judgment Day, part 5 of 6. With Bloodwynd, T.O. Morrow, and Vandal Savage watching on the sidelines, the Justice League begins their final assault on the Overmaster’s base. They break up into three teams, led by Wonder Woman, Captain Atom, and Metamorpho. They begin their assault, and find themselves up against the Cadre. Along the way, many Leaguers and their allies fall to either the snowstorm or to the Cadre, including Metamorpho sacrificing himself for his team, and Gypsy left buried beneath a snow drift. All the while, T.O. Morrow watches the future he witnessed play out in front of him. By the time they reach the top, only a small group remains: Amazing-Man, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Captain Atom, Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman. They find Ice waiting for them, but Martian Manhunter manages to break through Overmaster’s control. Meanwhile, Fire manages to break free from her captivity, and, with her fire powers restored, she joins the other Leaguers. The League assaults Overmaster, who kills Ice immediately for her betrayal of the Cadre.
