In Greek mythology, Jason is the son of Eson, king of Iolcos in Thessaly, and descendant of Aeolus. He was educated by the Centaur Chiron. He is best known for his quest for the Golden Fleece with the Argonauts. He is one of the main Greek heroes and particularly revered in Athens.
