The events in this book take place before GL #148 Jade wakes to find Kyle has left to deal with a Justice League business, and before she can have her first cup of coffee, she notices a news report about a fire downtown. When Jade gets there the the fire has already been put out by Killer Frost. Jade tries to capture Killer Frost but she is over powered and knocked out. When Jade wakes up Donna has shown up and is helping out. The two girls are able to capture Killer Frost and turn her over to D.E.O., then the pair go to Radu's for coffee. While there the open up about past relationships with Kyle. Jade tells Donna about how Kyle proposed, and Donna apologizes to Jade for breaking her and Kyle up the first time. This is where Kyle finds them and after Donna leaves Jade and Kyle enjoy their afternoon together.
