
Green Lantern pleads with the Flash and the JLA to help him go back in time and avert his personal tragedy ? which leads his peers to confront him about the ethics of heroism, and the line of violence that Kyle may have crossed. Now, only the wisdom of Hal Jordan as the Spectre can save his soul. This issue heralds big changes for the coming months and features the unexpected return of a long-absent hero. St. Vincent Hospital- Terry is still in his coma, and Jade, Kyle, David and Terry's parents are waiting in lounge waiting to her any news. Once John Stewart shows up Kyle leaves and goes to the Watchtower. There he tries to convince Flash to use the Cosmic Treadmill to go back in time to stop Terry from getting attacked. The Flash refuses and Batman reprimands Kyle for attempting to change the past and for attacking Terry's attackers. Kyle storms off and flies through space where the Spectre finds him. The Spectre tries to make Kyle feel better, but the talk doesn't seem to work, and Spectre sends Kyle back to the hospital, where is greeted by a happy Jade. Terry is out of the coma, and is asking for Kyle. Terry doesn't remember what happened and Kyle doesn't want to tell him, so he escapes to the roof. There Kyle tells Jade that Terry knew that Kyle is the Green Lantern but never told anyone, not even Kyle that he knew. This fact made Kyle decide to leave earth with Jade and leave John Stewart as the Green Lantern of Earth.
