Chicago 1938-Britt Reid has been the Green Hornet for four or five months now and have just struck a huge blow to Caruso's crime family. Caruso is angry and believes the Green Hornet maybe working withe Irish mob, and after the Hornet attacks one of Caruso's transportation hubs, Caruso calls a meeting. At the meeting Caruso guns down the Irish mob's head bosses.
Four Months Earlier- Britt Reid is forced to sell his family home to purchase the property that will become the Hornet's Nest.
