Though I was the villainess in the original novel, I skillfully avoided death flags and faked my own demise to escape. I saved the poor child destined to die, sacrificed myself so the protagonists could live peaceful lives, and hid away, waiting for my own happy ending.
My joy at finally hearing news of the original protagonists' wedding was short-lived. Upon receiving word of my mother's passing, I returned home... My childhood friend and fiancé, the original male lead, said:
“If I knew you'd fall for a mere death notice, I would've done it sooner.”
The man I thought had married another woman stared at me with deranged eyes and laughed. Why are you like this? You weren't this kind of person.
“Now you can't go anywhere.”(Source: KakaoPage, translated)
