Captain Steve Savage was an anthology comic featuring Steve Savage, who fought in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Published by Avon from 1950-1953, the series ran alongside the war it depicted, ending a few months before the war ended. It is possible the series was originally intended as a one-shot due to the first issue having no number on the cover and the publishing delay between it and the second issue. In 1954, Captain Steve Savage was resurrected in a second series.
